Below reflects some information meant to give only a glimpse as to some of the types of risks and concerns that the presence and severity of lead, can pose.  In addition to the information on this page, there is a wealth of information that can be obtained online.  We've included some URLs that can start you in that process.  A bit of research and education can go a long way in helping you with projects and protections from lead risks, that will help protect children, workers, environment, properties and owners from the hazards lead poses. 

 

We recommend that homeowners with child occupied properties, contact their County rehab programs to ask if they have funding to address lead hazards. Homeowners with properties in the City of Portland can check out the URL, provided here, for information on the Portland Housing Bureau lead grant program; as that is a program that can potentially provide the testing, reporting, lead hazard reduction and funding, for those with small children, who income qualify.  https://www.portlandoregon.gov/phb/74654
